چکیده
The prevalence of some tick-borne zoonotic bacteria (Borrelia sp., Coxiella burnetii, and Rickettsia sp.) in dog blood samples were examined using by PCR. A total 200 collected from dogs located western Türkiye. Three pathogens for dogs, Borrelia burgdorferi, C. burnetii sp. detected samples. single PCR was performed the multiplex applied Rickettsiae spp. burgdorferi. At end study, target identified at rate 55.0% all percentage distributions according to species 1.5%, burgdorferi sensu lato 2.0% 51.5%. In this results show that may be a risk factor distribution bacteria. Tick borne create hazard human health.

Serological evidence of exposure to zoonotic tick-borne bacteria in pheasants (Phasianus colchicus).
INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVE Previous studies on tick-borne pathogens in the avian population have focused mainly on the detection of the agents in ticks collected from birds, but data about the presence of tick-borne bacteria in these animals are scant. The aim of the presented study was to verify the exposure to some zoonotic tick-borne bacteria, in particular, Anaplasma phagocytophilum, Borrel...
متن کاملTick‐Borne Relapsing Fever in Dogs
BACKGROUND In the United States, Tick-Borne Relapsing Fever (TBRF) in dogs is caused by the spirochete bacteria Borrelia turicatae and Borrelia hermsii, transmitted by Ornithodoros spp. ticks. The hallmark diagnostic feature of this infection is the visualization of numerous spirochetes during standard blood smear examination. Although the course of spirochetemia has not been fully characterize...

We determined the prevalence of tick-borne pathogens in domestic dogs using microscopy and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) techniques. A total of 303 EDTA blood samples were collected from domestic dogs in Khon Kaen Province, Thailand, in May 2013. Microscopic observation of Giemsa-stained smears and molecular diagnosis using conventional PCR were performed. Infected dogs were treated with imid...

BACKGROUND Only limited information is currently available on the prevalence of vector borne and zoonotic pathogens in dogs and ticks in Nigeria. The aim of this study was to use molecular techniques to detect and characterize vector borne pathogens in dogs and ticks from Nigeria. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS Blood samples and ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Rhipicephalus turanicus and Hea...
متن کاملSerological detection of Tick-Borne Relapsing Fever in Texan domestic dogs
Tick-Borne Relapsing Fever (TBRF) is caused by spirochetes in the genus Borrelia. Very limited information exists on the incidence of this disease in humans and domestic dogs in the United States. The main objective of this study is to evaluate exposure of dogs to Borrelia turicatae, a causative agent of TBRF, in Texas. To this end, 878 canine serum samples were submitted to Texas A&M Veterinar...
